Kava Nectar vs Kava Found in a Store

When asked if they’ve tried kava and kava nectar before, many refer to products they can buy in a health food store or local grocery market.

Whole Foods. But as far as we know and within mainstream grocery stores in the United States- THIS IS NOT REAL KAVA!

The kava you find in pill or other liquid forms is highly processed. They often contain added ingredients that can interfere with how kava affects your body., which is why many people who try these don’t think kava works.

The liquid forms, called tinctures, are particularly worrisome as many are mixed with some form of alcohol or additive… a big no, no in the kava world.

In fact, the bad reputation kava gets is often from these processed forms of it. There was a huge misconception about kava causing liver damage, which still circulates today. But it turns out that the type of kava they were using were highly processed forms rather than the pure form that has been used for over 3000 years in the Pacific islands (without any reports of liver damage).

That is one reason why we wanted to create our own easy-to-use kava product, Kava Nectar. We wanted to introduce people interested in kava by giving them something that tastes delicious, is easy to make, and gives them the benefits kava is known for.

Kava Nectar is made from dried kava root juice of the kava plant grown in the south pacific. It’s grown on a family farm in Fiji and is NOT an extract. It’s real kava that’s been dried and powdered into an instant form. All you need to do is add water or your favorite beverage.

So if you’re interested in trying kava or open to giving it another chance, Kava Nectar is a great option for you. You’ll get to experience the true qualities of kava in one of its most authentic forms. If you do try it, let us know what you think!
